Leather here, leather there, leather everywhere

Ever since Angelina Jolie wore this leather tube dress to the opening of Inglorious Basterds, the leather craze has really taken off. Love AJ, she definitely knows how to work the leather in a class and chic way. It is no surprise that leather is definitely a staple for FALL/WINTER. It was found every in the Fall 2009 Fashion Shows, most notable was Balmain. Balmain switched it up with studds, glitz, and jewels and what have you. It definitely goes well with dainty feminine pieces such as a lacey dress or top. Leather jackets were on the scene last summer/spring 2008, with the whole flirty, girlie dress with black, edgy leather jacket. Don't be afraid to mix and match. I've been trying to find a good leather jacket for quite some time now. Why does it have to be so darn expensive?! Ebay for me!

Invest in a good, quality leather jacket. Don't give into pleather jackets, they will wear out, in comparison to leather jackets that will will last you forever

Gossip Girl Season 3 Premiere Recap

This post contains massive spoilers, so don't read if you haven't seen the episode!

So, I should really be doing some reading for class, but this episode of Gossip Girl had me feeling so polarized, I had to go let it out on the blog! Slash, share some photos of fashion goodness with you lovely readers.

So just a quick recap from last season: Chuck and Blair finally together! Serena goes gallivanting across the world to find her dad with Carter Baizen! Vanessa and Nate are going to Europe! Jenny is the new reigning Queen Bee! They're all going to go to NYU for college!

Um, so this episode had some pretty high expectations for it. From me, anyway. The first thing we see is Chuck being Chuck and seemingly cheating on Blair. Oh noes. Haven't we seen this enough? But wait, before you freak out, it's some kind of bizarre role playing game that Chuck and Blair have going on that seems to get their engines revving. Apparently, they like to lure some girl into a compromising position with Chuck, and then Blair storms in with all her angry girlfriend glory. And together, they have hot hot sex after said girl is run off. This is weird. Not to mention, there is a very odd and slightly disturbing scene at the end of the episode where they're doing some sort of G-rated version of roleplay where Chuck is pretending to be a waiter and Blair is a dissatisfied customer.

They sure do look awesome as fuck together though, no?

Serena has come back from Europe being her party girl self, and she's being targeted by paparazzi. Apparently, this is part of some scheme of hers to get her dad to notice her. Um. Okay. If you say so, Serena. She looks good in this dress, though. It's one of those handkerchief, empire waist dresses that only look good on girls like Blake Lively.

She's got some pretty sizzling scenes with Carter Baizen though. Who, in real life, is Leighton Meester's boyfriend. I wonder how weird that is to be making out with Blair's real life boyfriend because Leighton on and off set seems like one scary bitch.

Nate has hooked up with someone else during his Europe trip. A new character named Bree Buckley played by Joanna Garcia. Bree Buckley's family and Nate's are apparently huge rivals, so they've got a Romeo and Juliet thing going on, except that it doesn't feel half as illicit or as sexy. Still, Bree Buckley is gorgeous, and her boobs are on display throughout the entire show. I guess Serena won't be the only one showing off massive amounts of cleavage this season.

And finally, Vanessa has hooked up with the mysterious lost sibling of Dan and Serena's from last season. Please, look at this picture of Vanessa. The first thing I thought was, Rastafari! All the girl needed was a bong and a beanie, and she would look perfect as a beach hobo. Her hair is nappy. And so is Jenny's. As usual, Jenny and Eric were pretty much back characters, and all I could think about was how gross Jenny and Vanessa's hair looked. I am all for tousled, messy hair, but this is way too much.
So yeah. As you can tell, I was pretty underwhelmed by the season premiere. Has Gossip Girl jumped the shark? I'll watch regardless because of the clothes, but I wasn't even that blown away by the fashion in the premiere! I don't know how the crew will fare in college. I already miss the pettiness and drama of high school when this show somewhat made sense.
