3 Easy Back to School Makeup Looks

My summer just flew by :(

But on the flipside, I'm getting ready to start my final semester of college (real world, here i come)! And that means that I'm going to have to make sure I look my most fabulous, and for all you ladies out there who want to keep 2009 going with a bang, here are some quick and gorgeous makeup looks for ladies on the run.

Exhibit A: Eye Popping Beauty

My personal fave that I've been rocking lately is this combo below courtesy of the ladies over at the Glamour Beauty Blog.

Now, you might not notice it right away, but there is a definite something different about her eyes. A good different. Let's zoom in a little to see.Nicole Richie has got a black, slightly winged liner on top, and a nice deep eggplant eyeliner on her bottom lashes! It's a very easy way to incorporate color into your eye look without going overboard. Notice how the purple especially makes her gorgeous yellow/green/??? colored eyes pop? If you've got brown eyes, definite colors to try on your lower lash line would be navy, purple, or green. I find that these colors will make your eyes look like they're coming out of your head! In a good way, of course. If you have blues, line the bottom with brown, copper, or silver. And as demonstrated on Ms. Richie, purple is beautiful for green/hazel eyes.

Exhibit B: Shimmery White

Alessandra Ambrosio's eye makeup looks like it has a lot going on, but it's pretty stunning and simple. She ran a shimmery white eyeshadow all along her lid and lower lashes, focusing the color on her inner corners to really highlight and define her eyes. Then, she lined her eyes in black to really contrast against the white. Feel free to smudge the black liner along the outer corners for a smokier look, if you're into that. Finish off with a curl of the lashes and mascara. Shimmery white shadows really just liven up your eyes without adding too much color, and it's so incredibly easy to do. Great way for you to look awake after a long night of cramming :)

Exhibit C: Blushing Beauty

I used to not be a big blush girl, but this stuff is really growing on me! When I find myself awake way earlier than any human should be up, I know I look pale and colorless like I've arisen from the grave. And on other occasions, you just find yourself looking washed out and lifeless, and that's not your fault. There's an easy solution to this, and it's to simply apply blush!

If you don't have time to do any eye looks, just blend some blush into the apples of your cheeks to give you a rosy-cheeked, youthful glow. It really does do wonders in brightening up your face. Plus, men are shown to be more attracted to women who are flushed because it's a sign of arousal. Just a nice side effect :)
